Symptoms
After applying upgrading the Windows XP operating system to service pack 2
(Sp 2) many of the dialogs in Content Studio are cut off and in some cases parts
of the dialog is difficult to reach.
Cause
Microsoft have added a status bar at the bottom of all pages that are shown
as modal and modeless dialogs in Internet Explorer. Prior to Win XP Sp 2 this
was an option that could be turned off but this is no longer
true.
Resolution
This problem has been fixed in Content Studio retail version build 1002.
There is no fix planned for Content Studio versions prior to the version 4.0
build 1002. Customers running older versions of Content Studio must either avoid
installing Sp 2 or scrolling up/down in the affected dialogs or upgrade to
version 4.0. Also it is possible to avoid the problem by adding the site in
question to the Local intranet security zone.
Status
This is a well documented feature of Windows XP service pack 2 and has been dealt with in the version stated above.
